In my family we have 2 iPhones and let me tell you it can be a pain having to locate our charging cords. Sometimes they are in the car, other times I have left mine at work and more frequently we just cannot remember where we last used them. Yes, I’ll admit, as I get older I seem to forget where things are from time to time. So as I was roaming around Bed Bath and Beyond, a store I love and could easily lose an entire years salary there, I came a cross a great solution, I found the foldable charging station. Well, they call it either the foldable charging station or the flexible charging station. This thing is fantastic for keeping your portable devices together and charging and helps us not have to worry about where we left our cords.

It is made of silicone to that it will protect the mobile devises and it is portable so you can move it from room to room if need be and better yet, you can take it with you when you go on vacation or work trips. You can easily charge up to 4 devices such as iPods, iPhones, Blackberry’s, MP3 players and many other hand held devises. It only uses a single power source which makes it very energy efficient. It’s only $19.99 so not only does it help to keep everything organized and charging but it is cheap too!

Now another charging station that I found that was also great, but just a little more expensive is the Sharper Image Charging Valet. With this charging station you can charge up to 3 devices using only one
plug. You can charge cell phones, portable games, Bluetooth’s, PDA’s and many other gadgets. It also has 5 power tips which include Micro USB, mini USB, Samsung, Apple, and LG. This one is also portable so it folds up and has a non-slip back so that it stays securely in place.

The Sharper Image Charging Valet

Rating: 3.0 / 5.0

Price: $29.95

Now for those of you who are not looking for a portable charging station, the Shift3 Charging station is a fantastic unit for the home or office to keep not only your mobile devices organized but to keep all your important items together such as glasses, wallets, keys and pens. If you are a handheld gadget guru then this is ideal for home organization. This station will charge up to 6 MP3 players, cameras, cell phones and more. One of the features I love the most is that you can hide all the cords. I dislike cords. The can easily make an area look messy and disorganized. Then you have a nice little drawer to store your wallet, keys and other little accessories. For those who scramble around in the mornings trying to locate all the important things you need to walk out the door, this is a must have.

Shift3 Charging Station

Keep organized with the Shift3 Charging Station

and Desktop Organizer.

Rating: 4.0 / 5.0

Price: $17.99

So get all your mobile gadgets charged and organized. No more having to scramble around the house looking for the last place you put your cell phone cord because your phone is about to die. With a phone charging station you will always know where your phone is so you can grab it and go! Now that’s my idea of being organized.

I do not know about you but it seems like every time I go to get a piece of jewelry it is always in a jumbled mess of necklaces, bracelets, and tangled earrings. This always leads to damage and lost items. Perhaps it’s time to invest in a jewelry organizer.

They can be found in a myriad of shapes and sizes. No matter what your décor, there is an organizer for you. There are several different types to choose from. You can find an expensive hardwood model or cheap plastic trays. The sheer variety almost guarantees there’s something for you.

The jewelry box is probably the most popular organizer available. They also come in many shapes and sizes with several drawers to utilize. Jewelry boxes are usually used on a counter top and are great for display. Many of these organizers are very intricate and detailed.

The jewelry armoire and jewelry chest are other types of organizers that can be utilized in the home. They tend to be very ornate and detailed to fit the style of your room. Most are constructed of solid wood but are still priced reasonably. If, however, you are on a budget there are plenty of cheaper compressed wood models available. Often times these can not be distinguished from the hardwood models. If your jewelry collection is quite large an armoire can be a great choice for you.

Additionally, a close cousin of the armoire is the hanging jewelry organizer. These organizers are great if you’re short on space. Since they are mounted to the wall they free up quite a bit of room underneath. They can also be more convenient to get to your jewelry since they can be placed at eye level.

If you have no concern of displaying your jewelry, perhaps a closet jewelry organizer would work for you. A hanging pocket type jewelry organizer and the jewelry tray organizer are the two main types of closet organizers. A hanging type is usually attached to a hanger and can be hung on a rack in between clothing or attached to the back of the closet door. The tray types are usually very inexpensive stackable trays.

Finally, for the traveler out there, there is a travel jewelry organizer. These are typically smaller organizers designed for functionality. They’re usually smaller leather bound organizers that still look great. However, if you have several expensive jewels you may opt for a jewelry roll. This will keep your jewelry out of sight and safer.

Ill admit that when the iPhone first came out I thought, yay **sarcasm**, ANOTHER phone. I truly thought this phone was not a big deal. I went to my local Cingular store and fiddled with the phone for a bit and there were things about it I was unsure of. The text messaging feature was one of my biggest gripes. You see, I was a windows based phone person. Oh did I love being able to have my phone act just like my computer with files and folders. Well, one day I bit the bullet and said OK, I’m going to get the iPhone. I purchased it and about a week later I took it back. I didn’t like the text messaging feature like I mentioned before, I thought having all these apps was just a waste of time, you couldn’t send MMS messages and overall I just wasn’t thrilled. Well then a friend got his iPhone and he loved it. He started showing me this app, and that app and I started to get jealous. I thought, I want to be able to do those things. I absolutely love my windows based phone but I want cool apps. So I went for round 2 and I have not gone back since. I think the iPhone is awesome primarily for all the applications that is has. I am big about being organized and never thought that an iPhone app would help me stay <a href="http://www.easy2organize.com/category/organized-on-the-go/"title="" >organized on the go with my personal and business life. I have found a lot of great applications on the phone that make my life a lot more organized and have saved me a lot of time and I am here to tell you about these apps. I hope they help you as much as they have helped me. These are in no particular order as they have all been truly beneficial for me.

Around Me – FREE: This application has saved me a lot of time and gas plus its free. This application helps you quickly identify all the businesses that are around you or you can do a search for a specific business and it will show you the closest locations. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve needed to find a gas station, bank or a quick bite to eat in a city I have no familiarity with. I can pull up my Around Me application and I can locate the nearest banks, coffee shop, bars, hospitals, hotels, restaurants and more. Not only is this helpful for where I’m currently at, but if I know I am going somewhere, say for an overnight stay, I can do a search by that zip code ahead of time and It will let me know what businesses are in that area.

FMC (Free Menstrual Calendar) – FREE: Ladies, this one is for you. I love this app because honestly I hate tracking my menstrual cycle. I have never done it prior to this app because it was more of a hassle than it was worth. I didn’t want to write my info on a calendar for the world to see and it also meant that I had to REMEMBER to write it on my calendar. Well I came across this application and thought I’d give it a try. It is so simple. Whether you are trying to have a baby or just need a simple way to track your cycle this application works wonders for me. It is designed to predict your menstrual cycles and possible fertile days. All you do is open up your app, double tap the day of your last period, choose the appropriate information and it will then show you the predicted start of your next period as well as your ovulation and the days you are most fertile. It is all color coordinated and easy to follow on a calendar. You can enter the days of intercourse and whether it was protected or unprotected and you can add notes to those specific days. It also gives some wonderful tips about a woman’s cycle and all the useful information you need if you are trying to get pregnant.
Remember The Milk – Free: If you are a to-list person like I am then remember the milk is a great iphone app for you. This app lets you take your to-do list with you everywhere you go. You can add and manage tasks easily as well as set due dates and locations so you can use the map feature to locate where your tasks are (ex: grocery store). You can create an infinite amount of lists and organize all of this in one application. You can list things that are due now or a week from now, find tasks that you’ve missed and it just helps you prioritize your list no matter where you are. Ooh and you can print your lists or a weekly planner to show the tasks for the week. There’s a whole lot that you can do with this application and it’s a definite organization must for the iphone.

JotNot Scanner – $4.99: If you are a business person, whether you work for someone else or work for yourself this is a great application. Often times you find yourself in need of a fax machine but one is not available. Lets say you just met with a client, they signed a document and you need to get it to your office as soon as possible but you are not near a fax machine. What do you do? Use JotNot. It turns your iphone into a mobile scanner. Take a nice clear picture of the document you want to send, crop the picture to only show what you want to send and the application then enhances the image, turns it into a document that you can now email. If you take a steady clear picture this is just as good if not better than a fax machine.

Car Minder – $1.99: Ok, truth time. I find it a complete pain in the rear to keep track of my car maintenance. More often than not I forget and if I do write it down or keep the paperwork it gets lost somewhere. Well one day I came across this iphone app, Car Minder and it is beyond worth the $1.99 because I can easily keep track of the maintenance on my car(s). I can keep track of oil changes, tire rotations, when I last changed my air filter or windshield wipers. It keeps everything in one location so if I am unsure of the last time I changed something I can quickly look it up. Or if my maintenance guy asks me a question I look like I am on top of it. If a service is due soon or Ive missed it I get a notification. It is super easy to use, very clean looking application and has a lot of great little features.

Pageonce – FREE: With technology today we have a lot of accounts. We have accounts for credit cards, various emails, movie rentals, phone bills, utility bills, investing accounts and the list goes on. Some times you need to find these accounts and can’t remember the site or maybe the login information. Well, Pageonce consolidates all those accounts into one application. It gives you a rundown of what you’ve got going on with each account. If you are worried about possibly losing your iphone and someone having access, well don’t. If you do lose your iphone you can login to their website and have all your information blocked so it’s not in the wrong hands. It really is a great way to consolidate your accounts.

Bill Tracker – $0.99: If you ever have issues remember what bills are due, when and how much this is an absolute must have app for your iphone. With this application you can keep track of information about all your bills from the cell phone to the water bill. Keep track of when it is due, how much you have to pay or whether it’s been paid or not. Have an issue with a bill? You can easily store your account numbers and contact information for each specific company. This truly is an awesome application to keep track of all your bills in the palm of your hands. Now if you are sitting at work or out and about and that sudden question “oh no, did I pay that bill?” pops in your head, now you can quickly check with Bill Tracker. There is a free version, however I think for $0.99 it is worth the money for the upgraded features of supporting reoccurring bills.

BigOven – FREE: For those of you that are big on recipes this is a great application to have. You can easily search for recipes that you are looking to make, store any favorite recipes, and if there is something you come across that you want to try soon, well, they have a Try Soon section as well. Got some leftovers? Check with the leftover wizard to see what you can make out of it. Add the three major items you’d like to use and the app will tell you what you can make. It’s the perfect application to organize all your recipes, or in my case they are mesipies, in one location as well as new ones.

iFitness – $1.99: I constantly struggle with figuring out how to do specific exercises and knowing which exercises target which muscles. I’ll read an article online or in a magazine and think, hey, I need to try that and I either lose the article or completely forget about it. With iFitness you have at the touch of your finger hundreds of exercises and routines clearly shown with pictures videos and instructions. You can organize your own workouts and select a specific routine for your level. It’s like having a personal trainer but without the big cost. It’s important to change up your routine but keeping track of your progress, what you’ve done and what you need to do next can be a pain. iFitness does it for you. It’s a must have app for anyone who works out.

Shazam – FREE: Well, I kind of went back and forth regarding this application and whether It had a place on my list but here is what I decided. This application is AWESOME and deserves a spot because it has saved me numerous post it notes and frustrations. I can’t tell you how many times I hear a song and I wonder who sings that? Or I want to remember later to buy that song or CD. Before the iPhone I used to write myself a “note” to find out what song was on the radio and these notes consisted of lyrics or the singer so I could go home and look it up later. Then this wonderful app called Shazam came along and I was free! Free of frustration. Now, if I want to know who sings a song or want to remind myself to buy a song I simply open up shazam, hold it to my speaker and the song is now listed for me in one place. I can organize the songs by date, artist, or title and I just truly love this application.

So there you have it. My top 10 list of apps I used to keep me organized, in no particular order. I hope you find them just as useful as I do and they help make your life Easy 2 Organize!! <~~~too cheesy??

Ladies does this sound familiar? You’re at home, alarm goes off, snooze. Goes off, snooze. Goes off, oh no I’m running a little late. Jump up, shower, do hair and scramble around for 10 minutes to try and find the makeup you want to wear that day. If there is one area in my life that can easily get disorganized it’s my makeup. When I have mornings like this I get frustrated when I can’t find my black eye liner or I’m scrambling around to find that specific shade of eye shadow. I’ve accumulated so much makeup that some days I feel I could dig a hole to china through my makeup collection.

Then, a cosmetic bag saved my life. Ok, it didn’t really save my life but it saved me about 15 minutes every morning. I’m telling you cosmetic bags are one of the best inventions ever made for women.

So, the first step to organizing all your makeup is to access the damage. How much makeup do you have? Do you need a small cosmetic travel bag or something bigger? What do you have more of, eyeliners, lipsticks, eye shadows? To figure this out arrange all your makeup on a table and divide everything up into the appropriate sections. This will help you determine the size of your cosmetic bag. This will also be the perfect time to get rid of any unused or dried up makeup that is just taking up space. If you haven’t used it in the last 6 to 8 months, toss it! Not only will this give you more room and a good excuse to go buy a new replacement, but makeup can easily get bogged down with bacteria. So you want to make sure that you clean or toss any old makeup.

There are a lot of other things to consider when picking your cosmetic bag, more than just the size. You have to figure out what compartments you need. If you have a lot of brushes, eyeliners or mascara you’ll need to make sure your cosmetic bag can accommodate them. You will definitely want a separate section for your eye shadows and foundation. The goal is to get a cosmetic bag that has enough compartments and your makeup is easily visible. Most makeup bags come with a cosmetic travel bag. These are perfect because believe it or not, you don’t need to take every piece of makeup with you for a day at the office or a night on the town. Select the few essential pieces that you will need to touch up, throw it in the travel bag and you’re on your way. If you have anything that may leak or spill or you just need to keep separate, use a few reclosable plastic bags to keep them safe in your travel bag.

Oh and are there a lot of cute cosmetic bags out there. You can find bags that fit just about any personality. If you like to stay <a href="http://www.easy2organize.com/category/organized-on-the-go/"title="" >organized on the go and you take your cosmetic bag with you, you should consider getting a personalized cosmetic bag so yours is easily identifiable. So common ladies, its time to organize that makeup of yours!

Being a woman we carry a lot around with us. Makeup, brushes, pens & pencils, notebooks and if you have kids tack on about 100 more items to that. That’s a lot of stuff to bring with you everywhere you go. I have a lot of purses but I’ll tell you, I still cannot seem to keep all my stuff organized in my purse. I swear that some days I feel like I have a Mary Poppins purse. What I found that turned into my organizing savior was a leather bag organizer. Now obviously, it doesn’t have to be a leather bag it can be any material that you like but the point is that it made finding my things a lot simpler and kept me <a href="http://www.easy2organize.com/category/organized-on-the-go/"title="" >organized on the go!

See, whenever I have my purse I’m usually going to spend at least 5 minutes digging through it to find my keys, chapstick or even my wallet. A lot of the times I’m running into a store and I don’t need to lug all that stuff around. That is when I realized how much I needed my leather organizer bag. It is a little leather bag that I keep in my purse that I can grab quickly and has all my essential stuff in it. It has plenty or room for my phone and a few other personal items plus pockets on he outside that fit my keys, I.D. and whatever other small stuff I will NEED. Because we need to face it ladies, we carry way more stuff in our purse than we ever really need. I know I tend to carry “what if” stuff. What if I need this specific shade of lipstick, or what if I need this perfume today or what if my kid throws up or makes a mess and I need the handy wipes. The point is its great to have all that stuff available but if you’re running into the grocery store to pick up a few items you certainly don’t need to lug around your big ol’ purse with all your what ifs. You know that you will end up at the check stand searching through all of that stuff just to find your wallet, money or I.D. We’re busier than ever these days so we need to get in and get out.

My leather bag cost me about $80 and usually that’s a bit on the expensive side for me, but it was worth it. Plus, I know this leather bag will last me a long time. You can find cheaper leather bags and other materials that are about half the price and are just as effective. The point is to try and take the minimal about of things with you to help save you time. If I had a $1 for every 5 minutes I spent looking for something in my purse, I could buy a few Coach purses!
